Following the Consecration of the Court of Thoac No. 188 on 8th February last, the Court held its first proper meeting at its home in Uppermill.
The first meeting also happened to be the Installation Meeting at which the Primus Master, W Bro Lance Milburn KAG, PGBannerB ProvGSec Installed his successor, Bro Barry Smethurst.
The meeting was attended by the R W Provincial Grand Master Michael Carter GCAG and other distinguished brethren including W Bro Ivor Hallam ProvSGW and W Bro Mark Driffill ProvGGuard who participated in the ceremony.
The Worshipful Master, W Bro Milburn greeted the PGM after the opening of the Court and R W Bro Carter responded by hoping the Primus Master had enjoyed his year in office, even though it had only been 34 days long.
The WM suitably responded and assured the PGM that he had enjoyed his (short) year thoroughly and it had been an honour to serve as Primus Master.
Bro Smethurst was Installed in due and ample form and there followed a wonderful Festive Board as is always the case at the Masonic hall at Uppermill.
