On Sunday 18th May, members and guests from the Province of Lindsey gathered at the Visitor Centre near the Humber Bridge.
A cold wind off the Humber Estuary called for warm clothing and mugs of coffee before striking out on the 5 mile walk across the bridge and back.
W Brother Andrew Downes, Master of C113 organised the event. He was first back to claim the prize of a bespoke MOA pen, made by W Brother Stephen Morley, Master of C102.
Andrew was closely followed by W Bro Jon Cooper. Everyone agreed that it was a very happy day. PGM Michael Carter (in the Point Within a Circle T Shirt) thanked Andrew for all his hard work.
All monies will go to the King Athelstan Memorial Foundation. The next get-together will be in the grounds of Lincoln Castle. Date to be arranged.
